Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton considers Fernando Alonso of Ferrari is the best driver in the sport and said that he has a lot of esteem for the Spaniard. Hamilton and Alonso were colleagues at McLaren in 2007. However, they failed to expand a good relationship with each other because of their strong rivalry. Moreover, the two-time world champ left the Working based just after one year.
Even though, they had were never close to each other in the past, but lately Alonso has respected the British driver and called him one of the premium drivers in the field. Additionally, the 31-year-old thought that he considers the 2008 world champion his biggest opponent in Formula 1.
Meanwhile, Hamilton has said that his association with Alonso has got improved and he is pleased to obtain such respects from his old colleague. “My relationship with Fernando has got a lot better,” Hamilton told F1 Racing journal. “Finally we've got past 2007 - more so on his side than on excavate.”
“It seems that he finally realize me as a driver, as I appreciate him. It's equivalent between us now,” he said. “I believe he's the most excellent and he said that in Brazil regarding me. I love that he has that esteem for me, since I have that respect for him.”
The Briton was well in the title argument in 2012, but unhappily he faced some technical issues which gave gone his chances of winning the championship. Nonetheless, he is assertively looking forward to deliver his greatest at Mercedes in this season. It will be exciting to see how he performs beside Nico Rosberg in this year’s championship.
